Frequently Asked Questions: Animal Flight Escort Larnaca to Berlin, 14 January 2027
How do I send my rescue dog or cat from Larnaca to Berlin on 14 January 2027?
Contact Flight Parent to reserve one of the remaining places on the 14 January 2027 flight. Your animal travels in the hold in an IATA-approved crate, accompanied by a Flight Parent escort, on an Aegean Airlines connection via Athens. You pay a share of the escort’s ticket plus the airline’s crate fee.
Which flights and times are used for the Larnaca to Berlin escort?
The escort flies on Thursday 14 January 2027: Aegean flight A3901 from Larnaca to Athens, then A3820 from Athens to Berlin. Departure from Larnaca is at 05:30 and arrival in Berlin is at 10:25, both local times. Check-in for the animals is at Gate 13 at Larnaca Airport.
How much does it cost to fly a rescue animal from Larnaca to Berlin?
There are two costs: a share of the escort’s ticket, which depends on how many animals travel, and the Aegean Airlines hold fee, currently EUR 120 for animals under 25 kg and EUR 190 for animals over 25 kg. Ask Flight Parent for the exact ticket share for this date.
Where and when do I hand over my animal at Larnaca Airport?
Meet your Flight Parent escort at Gate 13 at Larnaca Airport at about 3:00 am on the day of the flight. The crate fee is paid at the airline counter during check-in, and the escort checks the animals in as part of the hold shipment.
What paperwork does my pet need to travel from Cyprus to Germany?
Your animal needs a microchip, a valid EU pet passport or the EU health certificate issued through TRACES, and the vaccinations required for entry into Germany. Allow about three weeks to prepare the paperwork, and confirm the exact requirements with your veterinarian before you book.
What type of crate do I need, and can I rent one?
The crate must meet IATA requirements for air travel and be large enough for your animal to stand, turn and lie down. Flight Parent offers crates for rent. Animals in unsuitable crates may be refused at check-in, and Flight Parent is not responsible for the loss of the fee in that case.
What happens if my animal cannot fly on the day?
The ticket share is not refundable if your animal cannot travel, for example because of missing paperwork or an unsuitable crate. Flight Parent will try to find a replacement animal for the place, but this cannot be guaranteed.
How many animals can travel on this flight?
Up to five animals can travel in the hold per ticket on Aegean Airlines. Four crates are already reserved for the 14 January 2027 flight, and some places are still available on a ticket-share basis. Contact Flight Parent to check the current availability.
