Up to two cats or two dogs can travel in the same crate if they’re well acquainted and similar in size (maximum weight 14 kg per animal — cats and dogs cannot share a crate). A total of 4 crates are currently available, holding up to 5 pets, subject to availability. A €180 deposit reserves a space and covers the airline’s in-hold freight charge per crate (which holds 2 compatible animals). The final ticket-share amount depends on how many pets I’m able to take — the more pets travelling, the lower the individual share.

When I stay overnight in Copenhagen, I prefer the City Hotel Nebo, right next to Copenhagen Central Station and close to metro lines 3 and 4, which run directly to the cruise terminal. It’s just 12 minutes by train from Copenhagen Airport, and I’ve found it reasonably priced and good value. Or search for other Copenhagen hotels here.
Pets are checked in at Gate 13, next to Larnaca Airport — please review the new crate specs from IATA and Aegean (and possibly other airlines).
If the wrong crate is supplied by the shelter or owner, this is not my responsibility, and I may not be able to board — meaning the deposit would be lost.
