On a personal note and in case somebody else needs to fly to Munich and is looking for good affordable Accommodation: We stayed in FREISING at the Hotel Mercure, which was a better choice than going into Munich.Trains from Munich Airport to Munich HBF are € 11.20 one way, so for 2 People there and back to Airport it’s nearly € 50.00. Whereas going to FREISING just take the Bus (Nr 365) from the Airport at € 3.40. The Hotel was excellent and Staff very accommodating and friendly. Right behind the Hotel is the Old Town (Altstadt-City Center)

Continue reading →We took 10 Cyprus Cats to Zurich. 5 went on to Austria with Road Transport and 5 stayed in Switzerland adopted with the Help of Barbara Casselini. Many others were helping to get to this Point. You know who you are. Special thanks to my Wife for flying with me without complaining too much about the (light) Turbulence. Switzerland is NOT in the EU and some special attention must be given to importing Cats and other Pets. Can recommend staying at Gasthaus 210. Easy walk from Main Station, and direct Train to Airport. Affordable too.

Mission Accomplished My Wife Yolande and myself had an eventful Flight with 8 Dogs for Hundeliebe Grenzenlos who managed to find new Homes for these Shelter Dogs. I also had 1 Cat in Cabin with me by the Name of PEACH, but actually it should have been named ESCAPE ARTIST. As the Cabin Bag was under my Seat I did not notice that PEACH had somehow managed to open the zip and had escaped into the Wide Wide World of the Aircraft just as we were ready to take off. The Stewardess or Hygiene Attendants were not too impressed but the other Passengers found it very funny that there was a Cat running around the Cabin.Eventually PEACH was caught and brought back to us to be LOCKED UP again. As always the “Ankunftsteam” from Hundeliebe Grenzenlos did their perfect Job of assisting us with the Task of getting the Crates out from the SPERRGUT Area to the excited and waiting ADOPTERS in the Arrival Hall at Frankfurt Airport.
